Drawing on his training and experience as a coach along with 20 years in multiple CEO roles, David provides leaders with personal development in a business leadership context.

Career History
Executive Director, The Climate Registry (2011-2017)
David held P&L responsibility, provided strategic direction and oversaw TCR’s programs, services and staff. He acted as chief liaison with the 30 U.S. states and 13 Canadian provinces that represent TCR’s governing body and served as the primary liaison to the federal government. David led six delegations of North American sub-national governments and businesses to UN Climate Conferences, including the Paris Accord, and has been frequently invited to speak internationally on climate issues. He led a coalition of twenty states, major utilities and the DOE to create the nation’s first energy efficiency registry and worked with the California EPA and legislature to develop the first-ever water-energy nexus registry. David oversaw TCR’s relationships with 300 corporate members across sectors including utilities, oil and gas, automotive, finance, retail and manufacturing.
Senior Consultant, Offsetters Clean Technologies (2010 – 2011)
OCT is Canada’s premier provider of high-quality solutions for organizations seeking to reduce their climate impact. David led U.S. business development efforts in the oil and electricity sectors, and in early stage development of large-scale carbon offset projects in the forestry and agricultural industries.
CEO, JamBase, Inc. (2006-2010)
David led strategy, Board and investor relations and oversaw the content, product, engineering and sales teams that built the largest database of concert information in North America. He closed content distribution deals with firms ranging from Amazon and AOL to Billboard, Ticketmaster and Sony and helped to develop JamBase into a brand loved by hundreds of thousands of diehard music fans.
Independent Management Consultant (2002-2006)
For multiple private clients, David advised leadership and developed marketing strategies and business plans for start-up companies in the media, tech and clean energy industries. Representative clients include Good Magazine, a multi-channel media platform focused on socially and environmentally conscious issues; Participant Media, a socially-minded film production firm founded by Jeff Skoll; and CleanStar Energy, LTD , a biofuels technology start-up (JP Morgan New Business Development Project Prize Recipient). David served as a consultant COO to JamBase, Inc., advising the CEO and president on core strategic, finance and operating issues.
Musicfans, Inc., founder, COO, CEO (1997-2002)
David founded the company out of his bedroom as InkBlotMagazine as a way to use the Internet to promote deserving independent musical artists. With two interns and an army of freelance writers, he built the property into a community of more than one hundred-thousand music fans. The site evolved into Musicfans, Inc., a venture-backed network of 120+ music sites reaching millions of fans. David held P&L responsibility, overseeing finance, operations and the M&A roll-up of the network and its team of more than 100 staff and independent webmasters.
