Acquirgy (2004-2015)
President and CEO – Partner & Board Member
As the leader of this $100 million acquisition marketing company, Steven propelled the initial Digital practice from inception to a leading position as a top ten independent US provider of Search Engine Marketing (SEM) in two years. He also revamped the reporting structure and financial controls to dramatically enhance transparency, accuracy and visibility; and optimized operations and expenses.

Morvay Group (1999-2004)
Founder and Managing Partner
At this marketing consulting practice, Steven provided expertise, guidance and training in Internet marketing methodologies and best practices to both direct marketing and Internet companies. He built senior level client alliances to plan and execute diverse engagements and assure client success. Delivering 10X ROI to initial investors, Steven drove the company from start up to $2MM in EBITDA and positioned it for purchase by Acquirgy in 2004.

Steven oversaw the purchase and restructuring of several companies reversing unprofitable trends resulting in a $400 million international direct marketing firm selling educational and entertainment multi-media products to children and adults.

Walden Book Company
CMO and Senior Vice President
Steven spearheaded the development and launch of the Basset Book Shop division, which became Borders Books and Music, winning corporate commitment based on performance of the first three locations and expanding from 12 to 24 locations in the first 18 months. He also delivered a 50% improvement in profitability for the Publisher co-op marketing program through a comprehensive restructuring effort.

Vice President of Marketing – The Comedy Channel (now Comedy Central)
Steven piloted the launch of the new basic cable service, envisioning and defining original positioning, along with establishing a marketing program, which included oversight of Design and Advertising Agencies, Trade Show promotion and communications strategy.

As Senior Vice President of Ogilvy & Mather Direct and President of Saatchi & Saatchi Direct North America, Steven helped spearhead many of the breakthrough programs that currently make up much of the activity in database marketing driven businesses today.
